Hey, it's a Dartmouth institution. My friends and I can't bring ourselves to call it "CV Variety" out of RESPEKT for its predecessor, Dairy Chief. The ice cream is nothing special, they don't make it there or get it from a small dairy or anything, but there's something sitting outside on a warm evening with a nice treat and maybe bumping in an old friend or two that really lets you know it's summer. Their convenience store / gas station area is nice and clean, too, which makes it a favorite of mine to get fuel.

The new owners are horrible. Everyone their is rude. It's only been open a few months and everyone talks about how horrible it is. It's sad. Dairy Chief was a great place to go the new owners ruined it

Whoever bought this place in 2012 has turned it into low quality, over-priced, I guess you could say food. soft serve ice cream only resembles ice cream b/c it's cold, other than that it tastes fake, oily and gross. Also 3 medium ice creams with one topping each is $18!!! Ridiculous! And a medium is actually a small. Very disappointed, will not recommend to anyone. Certainly not the dairy chief I grew up with :-(

I went back for that corn dog today. :) The batter was unevenly applied and it was on a very long skewer, both signs of a homemade corn dog. Awesome! I also had a tasty coconut frappe. Very short line Sat at 5.
